PUBLIC ADVISORY:  The natural bathing area at Eglin’s Postl Point received a GOOD water quality rating (week of April 9, 2026) in the weekly monitoring. Eglin Beach Park received a  GOOD  water quality rating (week of Sep 22, 2025) in the bi-weekly monitoring.  Water monitoring is guided by Analytical Services Laboratory according to Florida Healthy Beaches Program standards. Samples were collected in accordance with AFMAN 48-114 Recreational Waters and Mission Training Pools, Florida Administrative Register & Florida Administrative Code Chapter 64E-9, Public Swimming Pools and Bathing Places.

The Outdoor Rec Center at Postl Point is the hub for all your outdoor programs. Nature outings and overnight adventure trips are scheduled all throughout the year, with opportunities for mountain biking, rock climbing, zip-lining, swimming with manatees, hiking, bouldering, deep sea fishing, and even skydiving!

Back on location here at Eglin, outdoor activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, and disc golf are facilitated for your enjoyment. Beginner’s clinics for most activities are available to those who are looking to try something new.

Outdoor Recreation’s rental operation houses a massive inventory of everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors. The ODR team provides Bennington pontoon boats, Robalo center-console boats for fishing, cargo trailers, utility trailers, towable grills and smokers, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, pavilions, tables, chairs, camping equipment, key logs, cornhole boards, ice chests, water coolers, bounce houses and a large variety of games for your next event.
