Military Personnel Flight
The Eglin Military Personnel Flight (MPF) provides personnel support and services to 8,000 military personnel, 4,000 civil servants, and over 50,000 dependents and retirees in the Gulf Coast region. The mission of the MPF is to provide quality personnel support, through the administration of personnel programs, in both peacetime and wartime, to commanders, Air Force members and their families.
From ID cards to leave requests, base inprocessing to assignments, reenlistments and retirements, we process everything for one’s career from sunrise to sunset. Additionally, we are your source for evaluations, promotions and testing, awards and decorations, and many other special actions. The MPF is your focal point for personnel matters.

DEERS ID Cards
DEERS is open for all ID Card services. An appointment is NOT required for DEERS/ID card service. Customers may check into the queue between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sign-in 60 minutes early at QueueKiosk.com. While ID card services are primarily walk-in, there are still a few scheduled appointments daily.

DID YOU KNOW? — Changes in Dependents
Sponsors (active duty, retired, guard and reserve personnel) are responsible for advising the nearest uniformed-services issuing facility of any dependent family member additions or changes that affect DEERS enrollment, eligibility entitlements and issuance of IDs for family members.
DID YOU KNOW? — Access to Family Member ID#'s
Some base agencies such as medical clinics, etc., may require a family member’s DoD identification number (ID#) in lieu of a SSAN in order to access files. For CAC holders, logging in to our ID Card Office online (IDCO) website at idco.osd.mil/idco will enable you to view or verify your family members’ DOD ID#’s. Upon visiting the IDCO website, click “Continue” under “Family ID Cards.” After a successful log-in, click “Request ID Card” under the family member’s name and follow the instructions to display the form.
DID YOU KNOW? — Student Eligibility
Students ages 21 to 23 are able to remain eligible for DEERS with a letter from the school registrar. The letter must certify the student’s full-time course of study leading to an associate’s degree or higher as well as the student’s anticipated graduation date. Third-party organizations, such as National Student Clearinghouse, work with institutions to verify student enrollment. Such documentation, including web application forms, shall be accepted in lieu of a letter from the registrar’s office.
DID YOU KNOW? — Sponsors During Mobilization or Wartime
A valid general or special power of attorney is acceptable when a sponsor is not present to sign for a family member’s DEERS enrollment or ID card application. If the sponsor is deployed or mobilized for 31 or more days and is unavailable to sign a DD Form 1172-2, then the family member may present the sponsor’s deployment orders in lieu of a valid power of attorney.
DID YOU KNOW? — TRICARE For Life
TRICARE For Life (TFL) eligibility is for those ages 65 and over. This includes retirees and their eligible spouses; un-remarried former spouses (DB); and survivors of deceased retirees, Active Duty, Guard and Reserve members. Those who are enrolled in DEERS must provide a copy of the Medicare card provided by the SSA that reflects eligibility to Medicare (Parts A and B). The eligibility date is normally the first day of the month when an individual turns 65.
