PUBLIC ADVISORY:  The natural bathing area at Eglin’s Postl Point has received a GOOD water quality rating (week of July 10, 2025) in the weekly monitoring, and Eglin Beach Park has received a POOR  water quality rating (week of July 2, 2025) in the bi-weekly monitoring.  Water monitoring is guided by Analytical Services Laboratory according to Florida Healthy Beaches Program standards. Samples were collected in accordance with AFMAN 48-114 Recreational Waters and Mission Training Pools, Florida Administrative Register & Florida Administrative Code Chapter 64E-9, Public Swimming Pools and Bathing Places.

Eglin Beach Park is located on Okaloosa Island just West of the Destin Bridge (Map) and is available to all DoD personnel with proper ID—all military ranks, retirees, family members, civilian personnel (including all federal employees regardless of duty station), and federal facility contractors—and their guests during the summer season! Enjoy 3 Large Pavilions, Central Deck Area, Restrooms with Showers, and Direct Access to the Gulf! $10 per vehicle.

During the Summer Season, full-day beach Rentals are unavailable on Saturdays or Sundays.
