Classes are held at the Phoenix Fitness Center, Building 810, 404 Wicker Road.

  • Classes have a duration of 50 minutes.
  • No Classes are held on Federal Holidays.

FIP/GPP (Fitness Improvement Plan & General Physical Preparedness)

An 8-week program aimed at improving aerobic capacity, conditioning, and mobility with structured exercises to boost cardiovascular health and physical fitness.

Bootcamp

An 8-week, full-body fitness journey built to push limits and elevate endur-ance. This high-intensity program blends strength training and cardio to challenge every major muscle group—boosting stamina, sculpting muscle, and delivering results from head to toe.

Tighten & Tone

Eligibility & Age Policy

All Team Eglin personnel and family members of eligible age (see below) with access to Eglin AFB and FSS/MWR activities are eligible to utilize Eglin's multiple Fitness Center locations during regularly manned hours of operation. Access to indoor facilities during unmanned hours (called 24/7 Access") requires individual in-person registration at each location a patron wishes to access after-hours. AGE POLICY

NOTE: For purposes of this policy, a "qualified adult" is a parent, legal guardian, qualified Family Member Program (FMP) staff member, FSC staff member conducting a program, or coach.

Youth 16 Years of Age and Over
Permitted in all areas of the FSC without a qualified adult.

Youth 13 - 15 Years of Age
Permitted in cardiovascular, weight equipment, group exercise rooms, locker rooms, saunas, etc., only under qualified adult interactive supervision. Interactive supervision requires qualified adult and child to participate in/perform activity together at all times. Permitted in other activity areas (i.e., basketball court, racquetball court, running track) only when a qualified adult is present in the facility at all times. Permitted to be a participant (participating in age appropriate programming) or spectator in a sport or special event when a qualified adult is present in the facility at all times. For FSC pools, use is permitted during instructional programs, or when a qualified adult is present in the facility at all times.

Youth 6 - 12 Years of Age
Not permitted in cardiovascular, sauna, weight equipment rooms, or group exercise rooms during scheduled adult exercise classes. Permitted in other activity areas (i.e., basketball court, racquetball courts, running track, locker room, Parent/Youth Area (PY A)) only under qualified adult interactive supervision. Interactive supervision requires qualified adult and child to participate in/perform activity together at all times. Permitted to be a participant (participating in age appropriate programming) or spectator in a sport or special event only under qualified adult interactive supervision. For FSC pools, use is permitted during instructional programs, or when under qualified adult interactive supervision.

Children Under 6 Years of Age
Not permitted in FSCs except as follows: Permitted in FSC Parent (legal guardian)/Child Areas (PCAs) for supervised play. Permitted to be a participant (participating in age appropriate programming) or spectator in a sports activity or special event under qualified adult interactive supervision. Interactive supervision requires qualified adult and child to participate in/perform activity together at all times. For FSC pools, use is permitted during instructional programs, or when under qualified adult interactive supervision. 

DRESS CODE for All Fitness Centers

Patrons MUST be in the appropriate attire for specified areas within all Fitness Centers. Patrons not in compliance with the Dress Code Rules, at the discretion of Fitness Facility Management, will be asked to change their attire or leave the facility.

  • Tank Tops & Sleeveless Shirts are authorized, but nipples and midriff should not be exposed.
  • Undergarments including (but not limited to) underwear, bras, and sports bras must be covered by outer clothing.
  • Shorts must cover at least to the gluteal fold.
  • Altered Shirts or PT Uniforms are NOT authorized (i.e., shirts torn to be a tank top).
  • Boots are NOT authorized on treadmills or hardwood floors.
  • Open-Toed & Open-Heeled Shoes including (but not limited to) slides, flip flops, sandals, slippers, clogs, and Crocsâ„¢ are NOT permitted in any Fitness training areas.
  • Training in Bare Feet or Socks without Shoes is NOT permitted unless engaged in an authorized DAF Fitness Center activity such as Yoga, Martial Arts, or Combative Training.

RULES for All Fitness Centers

  • Dress Code is enforced in all facilities. Personnel utilizing Eglin Fitness Centers will be in appropriate athletic attire (gym shorts, shirts, and approved gym shoes) except for formal military training. Plastic or rubber suits are not authorized in any fitness facility, including tracks and fields.
  • All personal items, bags, clothing, and valuables must be secured in lockers. The Fitness Center will not be responsible for items in dressing rooms or workout areas.
  • Inappropriate language or graphics are prohibited.
  • Shirts must be worn by all personnel in all areas of the fitness center except the locker rooms.
  • Smoking, food, glass bottles, or canned beverages are prohibited inside Fitness facilities.
  • Only court shoes (non marking) will be allowed on hard wood courts. No swimming attire or bare feet allowed in Fitness facilities.
  • Dunking or hanging on basketball rims is not allowed. Anyone violating this will be asked to leave the facility. Damage caused by dunking or hanging on the rim will be paid for by the individual or their sponsor.
  • Wipe down ALL exercise equipment after use.
  • Please direct all questions, concerns, and maintenance needs to the Fitness Staff on duty.

RULES for Unmanned Hours

Access to certain Fitness facilities is available during unmanned hours for individuals who have properly registered their CAC card for "24/7 Access" at these facilities.

During Unmanned Hours:

  • DO NOT use your CAC access to let others enter.
  • DO NOT hold or prop the door for anyone.
  • DO NOT go to the door to let anyone in.

This is a high priority, security and safety issue. Video surveillance footage will be viewed daily and actions will be taken against violators.

1st Violation = CAC access suspended 7 days

2nd Violation = CAC access suspended 30 days.

If further violations occur, your commander will be notified and your after-hours access could be suspended permanently.

NOTE: If your CAC/ID card expires after registering for 24-hour access, visit the front desk to update your information and activate your new CAC/ID.

Reservation Form: Request Use of Fitness Facilities & Equipment

The Eglin Fitness & Sports program provides an Online Reservation Form for patrons to easily request exclusive use of fitness facilities and sports equipment. Reservation requests submitted online will receive follow-up from Fitness Center Staff to be approved or disapproved.

PAR-Q

The PAR-Q & YOU Questionnaire (click to download) is a helpful tool for evaluating your physical preparredness for beginning a new workout routine. If you are between the ages of 15 and 69 and are planning to become much more physically active than you are now, completing the seven-question PAR-Q form will tell you if you should check with your doctor before you start.
