September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Eglin Library is celebrating all month long! Established in 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month is an annual campaign during which libraries nationwide join together to emphasize the importance of library cards and the role they play in a child’s education and in combatting illiteracy.

This year, every new patron who applies for and receives their new library card at the Eglin Library will receive a ticket to enter in a random drawing to win a surprise goodie bag! (Prize entries are limited to 1 entry per family.) Returning patrons who have not used their library card within 90 days can also receive entry in the prize drawing by renewing their account and checking out at least one item. Participation is open to all ages, and everyone with base access is eligible to enter. Winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 1.
