Established in 1986, the Gate To Gate Memorial Run/Walk is long-standing Eglin AFB tradition to remember our heroes who have served in the military. We honor America’s lost heroes, all service members, who died defending our country’s safety and freedom. We invite all to pay tribute to their sacrifice and show our support for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country. Team Eglin is proud to present this Northwest Florida community event with options to run or walk in honor of a lost loved one in your own life or to honor a service member. The 2025 date has been moved up one week to fall on Armed Forces Day. Our purpose of remembering and honoring our fallen remains intact.

Registration Dates Announced in 2025

We’re thrilled to announce the next Gate To Gate Memorial Run/Walk, a 4.4-mile competitive race, is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025. The date change matches up with Armed Forces Day in 2025. As Eglin has grown and we have Sister Services serving on Eglin AFB, we want to honor all branches. Please save the date and join us for another memorable event that celebrates our community and honors those we cherish.

Your feedback from the 2024 event has been invaluable to us. We’ve carefully reviewed the survey and focus group responses, and we truly appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts. Your insights on what worked well and suggestions for improvement are guiding us as we plan the 2025 event.

We’re committed to making this a fantastic experience for everyone, and we’re currently reviewing the run route, timing, and other important details to ensure that we meet your expectations. Registration dates and costs for 2025 have not been finalized, yet. We will continue with online registrations through ChronoTrack. We will update this page as soon as we have confirmed dates and pricing.

Referral Bonus

We will continue to offer participants an opportunity to influence your personal network of family and friends. After the registration is completed, participants will be able to invite family members and friends to join the Gate To Gate Memorial Run/Walk and earn money back. For every three confirmed registrations from the personalized referral link, a participant will receive a $5 refund. The maximum refund is $25 per person.
