Child Care Aware®: Assistance for Military Families

When families need child care that the Eglin CDCs and FCC are unable to provide, Child Care Aware® of America may be able to help. This organization is proud to partner with the United States Military and Department of Defense to serve and support their families through the Fee Assistance and Respite Child Care Programs. To date they have served more than 10 million families and have created a network of more than 10,000 licensed child care providers!

Child Care Aware® of America offers financial assistance for child care costs by authorizing subsidy amounts based on Total Family Income for eligible military families (all branches), and supplying monthly payments directly to the prospective child care provider. This Fee Assistance Subsidy is calculated as the difference between what would be paid for on-base child care, and the off-base provider’s rate — up to a monthly cap of $1500 per child.
