September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Eglin Community Library is celebrating all month long! This year, every new patron who applies for and receives their new library card at the Eglin Library in September will receive a ticket to enter in a random drawing to win a surprise goodie bag! (Prize entries are limited to 1 entry per family.) . Participation is open to all ages, and everyone with access to base and MWR privileges is eligible to enter. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, October 1.

Established in 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month is an annual campaign during which libraries nationwide join together to emphasize the importance of library cards and the role they play in a child’s education and in combatting illiteracy. A library card provides free access to books, educational resources, technology, and a wide range of programs that support learning and personal growth for all ages.
